Description

The Enhanced Kinetic Energy (EKE) round is a joint program between Germany and the United Kingdom (UK) aimed at delivering a 120mm armor piercing projectile optimized for the L55A1 cannon of the Challenger 3 and Leopard 2 A7V main battle tanks (MBTs). In April 2023, both Germany and the UK announced their intention to work together on the next phase of the EKE program that should deliver a 120mm round in the 2025-2030 timeframe.
