Description
The Yasin is a 500-pound glide bomb developed by the Islamic Republic of Iran to hit targets at distances of up to 60 kilometers. The Yasin bomb navigation system consists of a combination of the Inertial Navigation System (IMS) and satellite navigation (GLONASS/GPS). The Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force uses the Yasin bomb from the Su-22M4 attack fighters with each aircraft carrying at least two such glide bombs. The winged Yasin bomb entered service within the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in October 2022.
