Description

The ChangZheng 5C, Long March 5C in English, is a manned variant adding two five meter diameter rocket boosters to the core stage. The boosters will burn liquid oxygen/hydrogen and liquid oxygen/kerosene non-toxic propellant. The new rocket being 90-meter tall and having a launch weight of 2,211 tons will carry a payload of 27 tons to a lunar transit orbit. The new Chinese manned rocket is expected to enter service in the 2025-2030 timeframe carrying Chinese astronauts to the Moon.
