MTV A1

The Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTV) is a high mobility 5 to10 ton class payload 6x6 diesel powered truck. The MTV vehicles also feature automatic transmission, and central tire inflation system (CTIS). Basically, the MTVs perform unit mobility and unit re-supply missions including the transport of equipment and personnel. Moreover, additional versions perform a wide variety of missions including cargo transport, vehicle recovery operations (wrecker), construction (dump), line haul (tractor), and airdrop missions using the Low Velocity AirDrop (LVAD) model. The MTV series includes the M1083A1 standard cargo, M1084A1 standard cargo with MHE, M1085A1 long cargo, M1086A1 long cargo with MHE, M1087A1 expansible van, M1088A1 5 ton tractor, M1089A1 wrecker, M1090A1 5 ton dump, M1092A1 5 ton chassis, M1095 5 ton trailer, M1096A1 5 ton long chassis, XM1148 LHS 9 ton load handling system, a 10 ton long cargo version, and M1157 10 ton dump.
