Description
The RSR 904 “Ngada” (meaning “Meerkat” in Nguni languages) is a lightweight (60 kg) 2-D radar system manufactured by Reutech Radar Systems in South Africa. This Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar features Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) capabilities and an instrumented range of 20 km. It is designed for ground surveillance, capable of detecting dismounted personnel or vehicles, and can also be used for sea and air surveillance to detect watercraft or aircraft. The RSR 904 has been deployed in roles such as tracking poachers to protect rhinos in South Africa's Kruger National Park and for broader border protection applications.
