Description

The North Korean Navy’s Amnok class of multi-purpose stealth corvette is intended to conduct anti-surface warfare (ASuW) missions with limited air defense capabilities. Besides, these 2,000-ton class vessels feature stealth design and can conduct anti-submarine warfare missions. The weapon system includes a 100mm naval gun, eight kh-35UE anti-ship missiles, six FN-6 surface-to-air missiles, two AK-630M close-in weapon systems (CIWS), 2x2 torpedo tubes, four RBU-1200 anti-submarine rocket launchers. The North Korean Navy commissioned two vessels in 2022/2023 and 2024.
