SPEXER™ 2000
The SPEXER™ 2000 is a family of X-band ground surveillance radars, with derivatives optimized for border, infrastructure, perimeter, and coastal surveillance. The SPEXER 2000 Coastal variant, designed for protecting coastlines, maritime infrastructure, and harbors, utilizes an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) with digital beamforming technology. This enables multi-tasking, multi-mode operation, and enhanced detection and target assessment capabilities, allowing it to replace multiple conventional radars. With an instrumented range of 40 km, high Doppler and velocity resolution, and advanced sea clutter suppression, it can reliably detect and classify small, slow-moving objects like swimmers and rubber dinghies, as well as fast targets such as speedboats, even in challenging littoral environments. The radar employs a unique signal processing architecture with real-time pattern recognition in a five-dimensional space for continuous target detection. A military mobile version, known as BÜR, has been developed for the German Army, integrated into the Dingo 2 armored vehicle for ground and low-altitude movement detection, with 78 systems scheduled for delivery in 2012. The SPEXER™ 2000 was first publicly displayed at IDEX in Abu Dhabi in February 2011 and LIMA in Malaysia in December 2011, with an initial batch of 40 radars delivered for a large border protection system in the Middle East.
