Description

The Joint New Air-to-Air Missile (JNAAM) is a new long-range air-to-air missile combining the Japanese AAM-4B active electronically scanned array (AESA) seeker with the body of the Meteor missile. The joint program between Japan and the United Kingdom (UK) is expected to be launched in late 2017 despite that the project itself started in 2014. The JNAAM missile will have a maximum range in excess of 100 kilometers and will be provided to the F-35 stealth fighter.
