Description

The Nexter Systems Titus is a wheeled, high mobility, armored vehicle featuring a high level of modularity and combat mission kits. The armored vehicle has been designed to carry out a wide variety of combat missions such as infantry transport, combat support and combat service support. Its modular armor provides level 2 to level 4 ballistic protection, and level 4a and 4b against mines. The vehicle can also withstand Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) blasts up to 150 kg. The Titus 6x6 crew consists of two or three men and can transport up to 12 fully equipped infantrymen. A variety of remote weapon stations incorporating guns from 7.62mm and 20mm and a 40mm automatic grenade launcher are available. Furthermore, the new vehicle family encompasses C4I network vertronics, Finders battlefield management system, perimetric camera system and Nerva LG reconnaissance robot. The Titus 6x6 was unveiled at DSEI exhibition in September 2013.
