Description
The Nasr-e Basir is an anti-ship cruise missile capable of engaging surface ships operating in stealth mode which may translate into no need for an active radar seeker in a number of certain scenarios. The Islamic Republic of Iran has produced this new missile under its arms development program started in 1992 as a response to the US-led arms embargo. The Nasr-e Basir anti-ship missile was unveiled by Iran's IRNA news agency in late August 2014.
