Description
The Next Generation Land Attack Weapon (NGLAW) is a planned cruise missile intended as the replacement for the US Navy Tomahawk cruise missile. The development of the new weapon system is the result of the failure of the Tomahawk cruise employed against Syria in 2017 and 2018 with the majority of missiles being neutralized by air defenses or electronic warfare (EW) systems. The NGLAW missile may be based upon hypersonic technology and may be deployed by 2030.
