Description

The Space Development Agency (SDA) Tranche 2 Transport Layer (T2TL) is a constellation consisting of 72 satellites and expected to be placed into orbit beginning in 2026. In August 2023, the SDA selected Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman to build 36 T2TL-Beta satellites each. The T2TL will be an upgraded design based on the T1TL satellites while supporting the low-Earth orbit Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). In October 2023, the SDA selected Northrop Grumman to Build 38 T2TL-Alpha satellites and York Space Systems to build 62 satellites.
