Description

The Riptide UUV-12 is a medium, versatile, long endurance, unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) developed by BAE Systems to conduct a variety of missions. The vehicle is a derivative of the Riptide family of small UUVs featuring modular and open architecture. It is suitable to perform signals intelligence (SIGINT), electronic warfare (EW), acoustic surveillance, acoustic IFF, navigation, acoustic and radiofrequency communications relay missions. The Riptide UUV-12 unmanned underwater vehicle was unveiled in September 2020.
