Description
The Zuni is a low-cost, semi-active laser guided rocket developed by MBDA for the United States Marine Corps. The WGU-58/B guidance and control system, the LAU-10 launcher and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software are key components of the Zuni weapon system. This guided-precision rocket is suitable for both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft applications engaging both stationary or moving targets on the ground in close proximity to friendly forces. In addition to MBDA, the Zuni was developed in partnership with General Dynamics, Elbit Systems and Honeywell.
