Description
The AKF-98 is a turbojet powered cruise missile developed by China with a performance equivalent to the US AGM-158 and the British Storm Shadow missiles. The missile may be intended for deployment by the FH-7AII and J-16 tactical fighter and the H-6K bomber. The AKF-98 was showcased for the first time at the China Airshow in November 2022. The new cruise missile should be fielded in the 2023-2025 timeframe.
