Description

The Dakar-class is a conventionally-powered submarine specially tailored for the needs of the Israeli Navy. Israel and Germany agreed on the construction of three Dakar class submarines in January 2022 as the replacement for the first three Dolphin-class boats. ThyssenKrupp will be responsible for the construction of these warships under a 3 billion Euro deal. The first boat is expected to be delivered by 2031.
