Description
The Russian Navy’s Future Destroyer, unofficial designation, is a new ocean-going surface combatant expected to enter service in the mid-2030s. The 9,500-ton class destroyer will be equipped with state-of-the-art sensors and weapon systems. The ship seems to be the successor to the failed Lider and Project 22350M class destroyers. In principle, the Russian Navy’s Northern and Pacific fleets may commission these destroyers with the Black Sea fleet being optional.
