Vostok E
The Vostok E is an export version of the Vostok D, a highly mobile 2D VHF air defense radar mounted on a 6x6 truck. It utilizes biquad radiating elements and a relatively wide 5.5° beamwidth, operating in the VHF band around 175 MHz. The system employs frequency agility, capable of changing between 50 different transmitter frequencies from pulse to pulse, an improvement over earlier VHF radar designs. Designed for detecting aerial platforms, it measures range, azimuth, and range rate with an instrumented range of 360 km, range resolution of 150-200 m, and accuracy of 25 m in range and 0.8° in azimuth. The Vostok E features automatic target tracking and classification, transmitting radar information to an integrated control system using modern solid-state digital technologies. It can be stowed and deployed by a two-person crew in as little as six minutes. The Vostok D officially entered service with Belarusian SIGINT Troops in November 2013, and Belarus has agreed to export approximately 20 Vostok E systems to Vietnam, including training for Vietnamese operators.
