Description
The Ghauri or Hatf-5 (Hatf V) is a liquid-fuel, road-mobile medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) developed by Pakistan on the basis of North Korea's No-Dong missile. The missile can be equipped with either a nuclear or conventional warhead and has a maximum range of 1,500 kilometers carrying a warhead of 700-1,200 kg. Pakistan carried out the first test launch of Ghauri on April 6, 1998 and the last reported one on December 21, 2010. This ballistic missile system may have been deployed by the Armed Forces of Pakistan in the 2000s in small numbers to counter India's Agni ballistic missile family.
