Description

The Casspir Mk6 armored personnel carrier (APC) is an advanced variant of the Casspir mine resistant vehicle weighing about 14 tons and optimized for the African theater of operations. The Casspir Mk6 high mobility vehicle incorporates the experience of the battle proven RG-31 armored personnel carrier vehicle achieving outstanding crew and ballistic protection. The vehicle can be fitted with 4x4 or 6x6 commercial drive trains serving as utility, APC and/or command vehicle. The commercial drive trains ensures high affordability and reduced maintenance costs. Besides, the latest Casspir variant incorporates commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components while retaining the monocoque V-shaped hull of previous versions and its superior mine protection. The Casspir Mk6 mine resistant vehicle was unveiled on August 17, 2011.
