Description

The PGM is a modular family of subsonic high precision weapons designed to destroy high value ground targets reducing collateral damage as much as possible. The PGM also allows aircraft to attack targets safely at standoff distances from the enemy's air defenses. The PGM's targets can be programmed during the flight before firing the PGM or pre-programmed before the flight. The last option is suitable for aircraft without data link bus. The PGM features 3 interchangeable seekers (IR, TV and laser) which enable the use of the PGM in all weather, day and night, and short ranges conditions. PGM's accuracy is 1 meter CEP. The IR and TV guided PGMs can send post-launch images back to an aircraft 100 km away, they can be controlled remotely allowing retargeting and mission abortion. Released from high altitude a PGM can hit targets 60 km away, from low altitude the PGM can hit targets 15 km away. There are two variants of the PGM according to its blast fragmentation warhead weight: the PGM 500 and the PGM 2000. All variants include selectable fuzing options of impact or proximity/airburst detonation. The PGMs have been integrated on the Mirage 2000 and the F-16 aircraft.
