Description
The Indonesian Navy’s KCR-70M, also known as FACM-70, is a new class of missile boats intended to perform fast attack missions against surface targets in the littoral environment. These ships are also suitable to perform patrol and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The weapon system consists of a 76mm naval gun and 2x4 anti-ship missiles and two 12.7mm machine guns. The propulsion system follows a COmbined Diesel And Gas (CODAG) arrangement allowing for a top speed of 40 knots. The Indonesian Navy has ordered two 70-meter vessels to be delivered in the late 2020s by Sefine Shipyard of Turkiye.
