Description

The Green Dragon is a tactical, low-cost, loitering munition developed by IAI to support small infantry units and special operation forces delivering situational awareness as well as firepower. Besides, this weapon system is also available for naval applications. The Green Dragon is carried, stored and launched from canisters which each system consisting of 12-16 canisters. The munition is equipped with a day/night electro-optical (EO) sensor and powered by a silent electric motor with autonomy of 2 hours and a maximum range of 50 kilometers. The Green Dragon has a 2.5 kg warhead and can hit a target with an accuracy of 1 meter. Besides, the loitering munition can be recovered and re-used. IAI launched the Green Dragon loitering munition in June 2017.
