ASR 910
The ASR 910 was a stationary air traffic control radar, specifically designed for use at German airfields as an Air Surveillance Radar. It was a search radar, remotely controllable and typically mounted on a high tower to provide air traffic controllers with an overview of aircraft within a 60 nautical mile instrumented range. Operating in the E-band (NATO designation) with a beamwidth of 1.55°, it utilized two transmission pulses with a frequency spacing of approximately 74 MHz and a pulsewidth of 2.1 microseconds. An integrated secondary radar provided additional information like flight number and altitude, while its digital moving target indication system, based on the Doppler method, compensated for weather interference. The ASR 910 was replaced in 2007 by the ASR-S.
