Description
The J-35, formerly known as J-21, is a twin-engine carrier-based stealth fighter being developed by China to equip the Type 003 aircraft carrier. The J-35 is a derivative of the FC-31/J-31 stealth fighter and is being development as the J-15 replacement. The first photos of the shining green J-35 aircraft prototype were made public in late October 2021. The new stealth fighter join might join the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) by the mid or late 2020s. The project is being carried out by AVIC with Shenyang Aircraft Corporation and Harbin Aviation Industry playing a key role.
