Description
The K029BE or UPAB-1500B-E is a glider bomb designed to engage hardened ground and surface targets from a distance of up to 50 kilometers. The bomb weighs 1,525 kg and is fitted with a 1,010 kg concrete piercing warhead. The K029BE bomb can be released from an altitude of 15 kilometers and uses an internal measurement unit (IMU) and satellite receiver navigation system to engage a target with less than 10 meters Circular Error Probable (CEP). The bomb contact fuze has three time delay detonation modes. The K029BE bomb was introduced in 2019 achieving initial operational capability with the Russian Air Force in the 2020-2021 timeframe.
