Description

The 9A317 is the Transporter Erector Launcher And Radar (TELAR) of the Buk-M2 (SA-17 Grizzly) air defense system. It is a fully autonomous combat vehicle capable of independently detecting, tracking, illuminating, and engaging air targets. Unlike the separate 9S36 mast radar vehicle, the TELAR's radar is at vehicle height — it trades low-altitude detection range for faster reaction time and full autonomy.
