The Armored Combat Vehicle (ACV) is a family of tracked ground combat vehicles produced by FNSS based upon an upgraded M113 armored personnel carrier chassis. The ACV is fully compliant with NATO standards, can transport a full infantry section and is air transportable by C-130 sized aircraft while retaining the high mobility and reliability of the M113 platform. The aluminum hull armor protection has also been improved to withstand direct and indirect fire attack and the vehicle is fitted with NBC (Nuclear, Bacteriological and Chemical) protection as standard equipment. The ACV-300 Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) variant is equipped with a 25mm M242 Bushmaster cannon mounted on the one-man turret providing fire support against hostile infantrymen and IFVs. Besides, the 14-ton class ACV-300's turret incorporates a 7.62mm machine gun. The tank's crew consists of gunner, driver and commander plus eight infantrymen. Powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V53T diesel engine developing 300-hp of power the ACV features a top speed of 65 kph on road. The ACV-AAPC (Advanced Armored Personnel Carrier) is fitted with a rotating cupola for one man and a 12.7mm machine gun replacing the 25mm Bushmaster turret. ACV-SPM120 is a Self Propelled 120mm Mortar carrier variant. ACV-ARV is an Armored Recovery Vehicle variant equipped with a crane. The ACV-Anti Armor variant is fitted with missile launcher and a roof-mounted 12.7mm machine gun. ACV-AIFV is fitted with a compact turret for a single man which incorporates a 12.7mm and a 7.62mm machine guns. The ACV-AESV Advanced Engineering Squad Vehicle is fitted with a roof-mounted 12.7mm machine gun. ACV-SPM81 is a 81mm mortar carrier variant and is equipped with a roof-mounted 12.7mm machine gun. To date, the ACV armored vehicle family has been ordered by the Turkish Armed Forces, Malaysia with at least 75 ACV-300 vehicles ordered, Philippines and the United Arab Emirates.
