Swathi
The Swathi Weapon Locating Radar (WLR) is a C-band battlefield radar designed to automatically locate hostile artillery, mortars, and rocket launchers. It can also track friendly fire to determine impact points and provide corrections. Operating with a peak power of 40 kW, the radar is capable of detecting projectiles with small cross-sections across the battlespace horizon and handling simultaneous fire from multiple weapon locations. The Swathi WLR is a coherent, electronically scanned phased array radar that utilizes intrapulse bi-phase modulation (Barker codes), with polyphase modulation (Frank Code) as an optional capability. Its transmitter employs a traveling wave tube (TWT) as a power amplifier.
