TCS

The Trajectory Correction System (TCS) is a low-cost artillery rocket guidance kit based on GPS satellite positioning and the Inertial Navigation System (INS). IMI's Pure-Heart Differential GPS (DGPS) guidance system enables the engagement of targets with very high precision. For example, LAR-160 160mm and 227mm artillery rockets fitted with TCS achieve precision strike of that of tube artillery. During operational test firings, the Israel Defense Force (IDF) Field Artillery Corps demonstrated the new technology can engage multiple targets simultaneously using 12 artillery rockets thus reducing the number of rockets needed per target. The TCS kit is a joint development between IMI and Elisra.
