Description
The Thales Coastwatcher 10 is a low-cost, small to medium-range naval coastal surveillance radar operating in the X-band. Designed for unmanned, continuous operation, it utilizes a Furuno antenna for high performance and availability, with a detection algorithm implemented on this antenna. Its processing system is based on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware, optimizing the performance-to-cost ratio. The radar's transmitter generates power using a magnetron, achieving a peak power of 50 kW, an instrumented range of 74 km (40 NM), and a range resolution of 12 meters.
