Description

The Fei Teng FT-12 is a precision-guided, glide bomb provided with a rocket booster to hit targets at ranges of up to 93 miles (150 kilometer). The 10 kg rocket booster allows a release speed of 375-620 mph (600-1,000 kph) and the weapon's range will also depend on the release altitude. The FT-12 navigation system relies on GPS/INS (satellite and inertial navigation systems) systems achieving a circular error probable (CEP) of 65-ft (20 meters) against fixed position targets. The 1,550-lb (750 kg) warhead class FT-12 glide bomb was revealed at IDEX 2017. The People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) first deployed the new weapon in 2016 when its development was concluded.
