Description

The US Navy's Military Sealift Command T-AO 205 USNS John Lewis is a next generation fleet replenishment oiler in support of the Navy and Marine Corps operations. The ship will provide underway replenishment of fuel and stores to US Navy ships at sea and jet fuel for aircraft assigned to aircraft carriers. The US Navy expects to award the construction contract in the summer of 2016 with the first ship construction starting in 2018. These ships will carry 157,000 barrels of oil.
