Description
The 9M43 is a 122mm unguided rocket projectile fitted with smoke screen laying warhead. The 20.2 kg warhead features five smoke screen submunitions designed to lay masking and blinding smoke screens in front of hostile combat formations and friendly troops with the purpose of degradation of the hostile fire effect and to invulnerably attack tanks or motorized infantry units. The rocket projectile has a maximum range of 20,200 meters operating at temperatures between -50-degree to +50-degree Celsius. The 9M43 rocket projectile was developed and produced by Splav for the Grad multiple launch rocket system.
