Description
The KF31 Lynx German Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) is fitted with a two-man turret LANCE armed with a stabilized, externally powered, airburst-capable automatic cannon (either 30mm or 35mm). This enables Lynx to effectively engage targets with high precision at ranges of up to 3,000 meters – even on the move. The turret has a reserve of 200 rounds of two different ammunition types for the main weapon.

Note
The Lynx Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) is equipped with a Rheinmetall LANCE turret, which features a stabilized and externally powered automatic cannon available in either 30mm or 35mm calibers. This turret enables the crew to effectively engage targets at a maximum range of 3,000 meters.
Additionally, the IFV can be outfitted with an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) launcher and a secondary remotely controlled weapon system that includes a 7.62mm co-axial machine gun. The secondary weapon station is integrated with the main optics for enhanced targeting capability.

Protection
Hull Armor
Modular armor concept which provides protection against antitank weapons, medium-caliber ammunition, artillery shrapnel, IEDs and artillery shell splinters. The Rheinmetall KF31 Lynx is equipped with a Mine and IED protection packages, decoupled seats and the optional hard-kill Active Defense System (ADS) to increase the survivability of the vehicle. The hull and turret of the Rheinmetall KF31 Lynx are protected against antitank weapons, medium-caliber ammunition, artillery shrapnel, IEDs and bomblets using a modular armor concept.
