The PGHSLD-500 is a precision guided bomb developed by India’s DRDO based upon the High Speed Low Drag (HSLD) bomb design. The new 500 kilogram guided bomb was first tested by the Indian Air Force from a Su-30MKI aircraft. The bomb has been designed to engage ground targets such as railways, bridges, industrial facilities, bunkers, runways and other hardened targets. The PGHSLD-500 glide bomb is intended for use by Su-30MKI, Jaguar and Mig-29 fighters for strike missions.
