SeaStar
SeaStar
The SeaStar is a remote-controlled, unmanned surface vessel (USV) designed for homeland security and naval applications. It is well suited for: harbor and strategic facility protection; coast patrol; ship protection; oil rig protection; optical and electro-magnetic field of sight extension; ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) missions; target designation; jamming and decoy missions; and force protection. Its open architecture design enables integration into any C4I network; command and control station integrated into air-, sea- and ground-based platforms; plug and play integration of any king of sensor or weapon payload; and execution of a variety of tactical missions. The SeaStar vessel is equipped with a full array of sensors for a wide range of naval and maritime missions. So far Aeronautics Defense Systems has integrated the following payloads: day/night (EO/IR) sensors, target acquisition sensors, ESM/ECM ELINT/COMINT, sonar, non-lethal / weapon systems (water/noise/stun), and maritime stabilized gun and fire control system. The water jet propulsion is supported by two marine diesel engines each rated at 470-hp of power and allowing a cruise speed of 45 knots. The vessel can remain on station for ten hours at ranges of up to 300 nautical miles from its homeport.
