Description
The Falcon Weapon System is a medium range air defense system developed jointly between Lockheed Martin, Diehl and Saab. Lockheed Martin provides SkyKeeper command and control battle management system, Saab provides the Giraffe 4A AESA radar and Diehl the IRIS-T SLM missile system. The weapon system is intended to engage Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), cruise missiles, helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. The Falcon mobile air defense system was launched in February 2019.
