AMCA

The Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) is a fifth generation combat aircraft developed by India's Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA). Externally the aircraft is a smaller copy of the US Air Force F/A-22 Raptor aircraft with internal weapons bay, six underwing pylons and two side pylons for navigation and targeting pods. The twin-engine AMCA is being developed as a multi-role stealth fighter with low radar and infrared signatures, supermaneuverability and supercruise speed. The aircraft can perform Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD), precision strike and maritime strike missions as well as air defense missions at close, medium and long ranges. The avionics package includes an active electronically scanned array (AESA), advanced sensors with data fusion and network-centric warfare capabilities.
