Description
The 77N6 is a hypersonic interceptor family developed for the S-500/S-550 strategic air defense system to engage incoming ballistic missiles and warheads at very high altitude in near space. The first 77N6 interceptors were tested in 2014 and are expected to enter service by 2020. The missiles have a maximum range of 600 kilometers and can reach an altitude of 200 kilometers.
