Description

The K806 is a new South Korean armored personnel carrier. It was developed by Hyundai Rotem to meet requirements of the South Korean army.K806 armored vehicles are designed for mobile strikes and reconnaissance missions in the rear. The engine is located in the front on the left side, while the driver sits beside the engine to the right. The troop compartment is at the rear, accommodating 10 fully equipped soldiers plus 2 crew members. Troops enter and exit the vehicle via a rear automatic ramp in addition to 4 roof hatches.

Note The baseline K806 armored personnel carrier is armed with a shielded 12.7 mm machine gun. However depending on customer requirements the K808 can support a remotely-controlled weapon station, or a two-man turret, armed with a 30 mm cannon, or other weapons that pack a heavier punch.
