Description
The AC-235 is a light gunship derived from the CN-235 light transport aircraft and ordered by the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF). It includes integrated mission and fire control systems, electro-optical and radar sensors, Hellfire missiles, ATK’s side-mounted M230 30mm chain gun, an integrated defensive suite and 2.75 inch/70mm guided rockets such as the laser-guided APKWS. Two CN-235 aircraft operated by the RJAF were converted into the AC-235 configuration in 2013 and 2014.
