Description

The HENSOLDT AG Quadome is a German-made, software-defined 3D multifunction naval radar operating in the C-band, designed for maritime navigation, air, and surface surveillance. It features an active electronically scanned array (AESA) antenna that generates a staggered antenna pattern with a maximum elevation angle of 70 degrees, rotating at 15 or 30 revolutions per minute, and has an instrumented range of 110 nautical miles (200 km). The system enhances user safety through automatic situation recognition and rapid response times, with its signal processor capable of tracking over 1000 air and sea targets. The Quadome radar was first unveiled in 2021 at the Defense Service Exhibition International (DSEI) in London, UK.
