Description
The Republic of Korea Air Force (RoKAF) Cheon Ryong is an air-launched cruise missile (ALCM) capable of taking out hardened targets and bunkers at distances of up to 500 kilometers. The Cheon Ryong cruise missile is expected to be deployed by 2028 onboard the KF-21 stealth fighter. The Korean Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced in December 2022 that $145 million will be assigned for the new missile development. LIG Nex1 and Hanwha Aerospace are responsible for the Cheon Ryong ALCM cruise missile.
