Description

The Blackbeard is a low-cost, air-launched, hypersonic weapon system developed by Castelion. The Blackbeard follow a quasi-ballistic trajectory. In June 2026, the US Navy ordered an initial batch of 50 missiles and another batch of 444 missiles ordered in September 2026. The Blackbeard is expected to achieve early operational capability in 2028.
