Description
The Indian Army Rudra is a light armored version of the Dhruv multipurpose helicopter outfitted with a THL 20 20mm gun, nose-mounted electro-optical sensors, pod mounted 70mm rockets, air-to-air missiles and LAHAT or Nag anti-tank missiles. The sensor package provides the capability to engage targets day/night. The Rudra is the Mk-IV version of the ALH program. The first production aircraft painted in a black scheme was delivered to the Indian Army at Aero India in Bangalore on February 8, 2013.
