Description

The Terrex 2 is a cutting-edge 8x8 wheeled armored vehicle designed to deliver superior mobility, protection and network centric warfare capabilities. It features a double-V hull to provide protection against mines and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) blasts. The Terrex 2 30-ton class vehicle is lethal and highly survivable in both land and littoral missions. It is powered by a Carterpillar C9.3 540-hp or 600-hp diesel engine developing a top speed in excess of 90 kilometers per hour (kph) over a distance of 600 kilometers on road. Two rear-mounted water-jets allow the Terrex 2 to travel at 11 kph on water. The vehicle can integrate a 30mm unmanned turret to provide fire support to its 12 infantrymen.
