Description

The Hermes 2 is an upgraded variant of the Hermes long-range anti-tank missile featuring a new propulsion system allowing a maximum speed of Mach 6-8. They hypersonic speed feature will allow, not only to fly with no chance of being neutralized by any missile defense, but in addition the ability to destroy any armored heavyweight vehicle even outfitted with an Active Protection System (APS). The Ka-52M attack and scout helicopter is intended as the primary user for the new hypersonic missile complex. The Russian Armed Forces are expected to take delivery of the first units of the Hermes 2 hypersonic missile within 2022.
