Description

The ELDIS MSSR-1 is a modular Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) system designed to meet ICAO standards for Mark X and Mark XII. Operating at 1030/1090 MHz with a peak power of up to 2,000 W, it can function as a standalone secondary radar or integrate with a primary surveillance radar. Its ASSR-35LVA Large Vertical Aperture (LVA) antenna, comprising 35 column radiators, provides a beamwidth of 2.4° and an antenna gain exceeding 27 dBi, rotating at up to 15 rpm. The system offers an instrumented range of up to 256 nautical miles (approximately 300 km) with a range resolution of 15m. The Interrogator–Receiver Unit, a core component, generates interrogations, processes replies across various modes, and features extensive internal diagnostics, minimizing external subsystem dependencies to enhance system accessibility.
