Description
The VN18 is a new amphibious armored assault vehicle developed by NORINCO to meet the requirements of the Chinese Marines with the ability to achieve a top speed of 30 kph on water and up to 65 kph on road. The 26-ton class vehicle carries 11 fully equipped Marines and is provided with a turret-mounted 30mm automatic cannon, a machine gun and an anti-tank missile. The vehicle was developed on the basis of the ZTD05 light tank introduced in the early 2000s. The VN18 armored vehicle was unveiled in November 2017.
